Happy Chinese New Year!

The bazaar is getting nearer and nearer, too near for comfort, and as usual I was flooded with everything else except for doing up the items, properly. This is really bad. But nevertheless, I'm working hard here! Reading and browsing a fair bit to get more inspiration and such.

See, point being, today is the first day of Chinese New Year and The Mom, being her, said that one should never start work/use scissors/knives/needles on the first day - really beats me on why she said that but I'd just believe it anyway, because I'm an innate auntie I guess.

...and that is another excuse for me to slack a day. Heh.

Anyway, decided to update some stuffs, like what I was busy with before this last week.

Firstly, towards the end of last month, it was the birthday of soulmate, so was running around doing up the stuffs. It was majorly satisfying, especially seeing her so happy. So I'd let the pictures do the talking for what we/I made for her. Of course, using my favorite material.

It is called the Happiness Jar.

So yes, the concept of the jar consists of... a bunny, and 4 other small jars which consisted of happiness, bliss, health and love stitched on the felt pieces. She loved the present, and that made me really, really happy (:

Another major (well, to me) project that I was doing was... this!
My new skirt for CNY. Well, it was meant to be a dress, but there wasn't enough cloth for me to get the drappy baggy effect. Then again, I really phail at using the sewing machine properly. It's properly enough to survive but not enough to translate my design on material. I need to practice more =(

So anyway, the tree and leaves are sewn on by felt (again). Took quite awhile - but am quite satisfied with the product, even though I wished I could have done alot more to make it better.

That's all for now! Will be starting to sew tomorrow again, and hopefully I'd have a relatively full table this Thursday and Friday @ NTU!

Oh hi!

It's really been awhile since I've updated this space.. Because of various reasons but anyway, I'm back, for good this time! *crosses fingers* hopefully.

Here are some of the things which have been done during the very long hiatus. I feel like I've been doing nothing much, just many ideas which have been going in my head and drawn but never materialised. I really need to get this lazy, excuses finding side of me away.

But anyway, it's half a month? away from valentine's day and chinese new year and all of that. Never been a big fan of v-day, but I guess it's really one day to show your love - if you haven't been doing it all year round - to whoever that's important! So there, mommy made this and I was in charge of putting it together, so here's my take on it - to a handphone charm!

Priced at $8.30, it'd be perfect for a girly girl with the crystal in the middle and black lace. So... do contact me if you're interested!

Another something I've done... a fruit tart! The strawberries are harder to make than I've thought because it's really quite tiny. I love how it turned out though, despite the fact that it turned out fatter than I've actually intended for it to be. Perhaps I'm really way too greedy for my own good! It's on it's way to become either... a badge, or a handphone charm... or whatever which I haven't really thought of so please bump some ideas if you like it too (:

Hmm.
Oh and yes, I had a spasm of donuts fever again - will be having a bazaar booth at NTU on the 18th and 19th of February - that's why I'm being so hardworking now!!! =X

Now, pardon me while I have a flood of donuts here. There are variations this time in terms of the annoying cuteness I guess.

Yes that's a donut ring at the end! I'm hoping the glue I'm testing out all works well (:

Lastly, my favourite creature, and what that inspired me to have an underwater series which... HASN'T MATERIALISED. But it will okay. Watch this space. *desperate attempt to push myself*

MEET OCTIE. The second generation of one of the very first felt plushies I've made - the first one dropped off in school, and I made a dear friend walk around to find it with me.

So this upgraded version has pursed lips. Pouting, full lips.
Inspired by my soulmate. lol!

Take a bow!

Hi I'm finally resurfacing after awhile! Been pretty busy with random things and had been making friends with my sewing machine for the fashion show that will be coming up on 18th August in NUS Central Forum.

So I've got this other collection that's coming up, but before that here are some small, simple bows that I've made for awhile, but didn't put up!
Some of the pretty pretty colours which I personally love haha.
It's fully customisable too, can be pasted on a hairpin, as a earring stud if it's smaller or dangly earrings. For the next few collections coming up, I'd be doing some pouches and stuffs like that so it can be sewn on them too!

For example, here's the yellow one which I stuck on a ring. It looks really quite adorable with it on the finger but my finger was looking really weird and stumpy, so abit of editing was needed ((:
The bow itself costs just $2 for the plain ones (with one layer, eg the yellow and pink combination and red and white combination) and $2.50 for the 3 coloured ones (pink combination and brown combination). Hope that's clear.

As for the accessories for them to be on, the ring will cost $1 - meaning the white and pink bow ring will be $3, while the pink combination will be $3.50. The earrings will cost $1 too.

Please send any queries to feltlings@gmail.com, or leave a comment for me to get back to you!

Sweet tooth and tonnes of other yumminessss

Sweet tooth cos.. almost everyone has it! I'm majorly guilty of having a whole jaw of sweet teeth. heh.

aL's friend, wen wen request for a tooth, so here's it, before attaching all the chains etcetc.

okay here's an introduction, in clockwise direction from the left. That's the protype which looks pretty strange. It looks like it has been bashedand thus it has such a bloody red mouth xD.

the second one on its right with a =) face is the tooth! named.. (i forgot, but they gave a name for it. Winky or something haha.)

here's a larger view:

third feltling is actually a strawberry tart, currently hanging on my handphone!

the bigger donut has appeared before in this post! Here's an idea of what you can do to the donut. A friend bought these, and I managed to snap a picture before handing over to him!

this is the adorable 2cm donut which appeared together with the sweets and strawberry in the charms bracelet post. Here's an idea of how tiny it is. It can be customised as an earring, or pinned on hair, etc! Will post up the pictures of how it'd look like as soon as I make them!

Lastly! Here's a lollipop I've customized for a friend's friend. I hope she'd like it though, even though it's slightly big haha. Took quite awhile to make, and hopefully the effect is what she wanted!

Card holder

(by The Mommy)

Alright, here's a little introduction to my mom. She loves handicrafts, particularly beads-made items, and over the years there had been quite a spectacular collection. We were thinking of posting her things in another website, which I have yet to do haha. But basically in the meantime, she'd be appearing a few times on feltlings.

She's thinking of selling this unique and pretty checkered design for $9. It's great for putting ez-link cards (you can hang it at the outside of your bag, so when you're tapping the card on the train or bus it'd be more convenient).

Do email me at feltlings@gmail.com, or drop a note to me on the tagboard or comment box if you're interested! Customisation is possible, but that really depends on what colours you want. So please ask me if you've got any enquiries and I'd direct you to her.

Charms Bracelet

Heyo! I've had another project coming up, but here's the smaller version of it. It's a brilliant idea by margie (I need to properly introduce her. Actually, all of you had already seen her. She's the girl who's holding the macarons in my first post (: ).

Here's a charms bracelet hanging yummy goodies! Took me awhile to sew due to the small-ness (the donut's only 2cm in diameter, when the original ones I made were 4cm). Really enjoyed making it, and love the end product!

Photobucket

Another awesome friend had placed an order on this already! Am grateful, thank you. (:

So anyway, I've came up with this pricing scheme.

See, there are four charms here. One donut, two sweets and a strawberry. This will be going at $9.90.

If you have any other requests, for example, changing one of the charms to a donut, or adding another charm, do email me at feltlings@gmail.com, or leave a tag, or leave a comment (with your email for me to get back to you) for the pricing!
